Losing Friends - Separuh Jiwaku Pergi

Sunday, February 13, 2011

The meeting was fated. A friendship was sealed, accompanied with joy, coming at the right time. It seems that the friendship was cherished by all of the parties. There were always exchange of nice words and prayers and the parties often gathered, with laugh and smile knitted in every face. The distance which was far became close and as some say that it was prayed for. However, as time goes by, parties are moving away, not by distance though. To some, the friendship is important, embarrassment and ego are not the price to abandon it. Nevertheless, when the embarrassment is constant, it does cause corrosion of the loyalty.

Some think to be brother, if not father, embracing the parties of the friendship. One of them claims that there was a the teacher among them, who he holds so dear that he dares not to utter words of defiance or advice, so  he speaks. A friendship can never be weighed with gold or currency. Only traders care for that. A friend always knows what is in the heart of his or her friends, thus they must act upon what their hearts tell them only if they care about the friendship. Actions speak louder that words, and a friends knows what the actions mean, even when they were explained otherwise.

When one of the parties had done the best of his ability to keep the friendship, leaving nothing more  but to throw himself in further embarrassment, humiliation and dismay, he would let others to save this friendship, if they wish so.A friendship that keep causing hurt and the hurt goes unnoticed by the parties, signs the end of it. As much as the friendship is fated, so the parting might be. Using the words of Pharaoh - So let it be written, so let it be done.

A friend indeed has a place in the soul and to lose one - Separuh Jiwaku Pergi.
